Stockholm Medical Cannabis Conference

Jeppe Krog – Young Idéas in i young business

Today, SMCC2022 is opening its doors, one of the speakers at the event is Jeppe Krog, the youngest CEO in Denmark of an IPO company. Jeppe will give us a uniqe insight in nordic cannabusiness building.

Already as a young teenager, Jeppe Krog began to take an interest in business and  started his first company. Today, he is the youngest CEO in Denmark of an IPO company.

Jeppe Krog is currently CEO of DanCann Pharma, a Danish biopharmaceutical company within the pharmaceutical industry focusing on cannabinoid therapies.

”My journey in the medical cannabis market already started around 2016 when a medical cannabis program in Denmark started to be considered.

I also had a close relative of mine who was in a situation where the person needed medical cannabis, which sparked my interest.

I could either stand on the sidelines or become a part of it.”

As a result, he founded DanCann Pharma with Morten Martinsen in 2018. DanCann Pharma is a company focused on medical cannabis for patients in Denmark with big visions for the future.

”We are a patient-focused company that not only says it but actually lives up to it. We are here for a reason and that is to make a difference for the patients and their relatives”

”Today we focus on medical cannabis but we have a big ambition to become more pharmaceutical in the future.”

The products the company produces today are buds/flowers and grinded materials but they are also working on developing new and alternative cannabis-based products. ”The next product you will see from DanCann will be a cannabis extract, an oil solution that we have an ambition to launch on the Danish market already this year.

On 27 May in Stockholm, the first medical cannabis conference will take place in Sweden. Jeppe will be one of the speakers joining the conference.

”The main topic of what I will talk about will be about the fact that we as a company have a different strategy and approach to cultivation, as we are one of the few companies that have our production 100% indoors.”

”We have a different approach to how we think things should be done when it comes to producing medical products for patients. So that will be the main point for us, we will also talk about our experience in the medical market so far and talk about the evolution and what kind of strengths and weaknesses we see in the market.”

If you could give one piece of advice to someone striving to be as successful as you are, what would it be?

”I think you should do what makes you happy and follow your intuition. Do what makes you happy, I think that will be your own success.”

What are your visions for DanCann’s future?

We have a goal and an ambition to expand our company to the whole of Europe.

At the moment we focus mainly on Scandinavia and selected European markets, although at some point we also want to go global.

One of our focuses is also to get even closer to the patient, doctors, researchers and clinics, we want to see what the interests are in the market and enable medication for patients.

Producing solid quality assured biomaterials is important but now we also want to create value from the good materials we produce.

It is important to spread the word about medical cannabis and to make some noise in the market. A lot of patients are missing parties like us who are pushing this agenda and enabling and democratizing access to it. And that we are very proud of.
